Pennsylvania State University
We have been known that United States has so many famous University. And now I want to let you know about one of the largest universities in US, it is Pennsylvania State University.
Pennsylvania State University commonly called as PSU was established in 1855. It located in the University Park, Pennsylvania, United states. This University had several names before it became Pennsylvania State University. In 1855-1862,it was known as Farmers' High School of Pennsylvania, Agricultural College of Pennsylvania in 1862–1874, and Pennsylvania State College 1874–1953. This university offers more than 160 majors in all the campuses. Therefore , it is not surprising that this university has totals more than 45,000 graduate and undergraduates students and it makes this university become one of the largest universities in the United States.
If about its athletics, the athletic department fields twenty-nine varsity teams in NCAA Division I,such as baseball, basketball, cross-country, diving, fencing, football, golf, gymnastics, lacrosse, soccer, swimming, tennis, track & field, volleyball, and wrestling.
Every University has some traditions including this university. One of the traditions of this university is the Nittany Lion Inn offers visitors a spirited and historic location with all the comforts of the northeast.
Sports facilities include Beaver Stadium, which has capacity of 107,282 seats, a multipurpose building, golf courses, baseball and softball fields, a tennis center, and a center for basketball. (The Jordan Center also hosts entertainment and other activities.) The University also has a sports museum with 10,000 square feet.
The university which has motto "making life better" has so many achievements. And you can see the awesome facts above. That is why it is considered as one of the most popular university in the world.

This university provides seven student housing complexes located in University park campus. They are East Halls, North Halls, Pollock Halls, South Halls, West Halls, Eastview Terrace, and Nittany Apartments. Each complex consists of some separate buildings like dormitories and a commons building, which has lounges, the help desk for the complex, mailboxes for each dormitory room, a small food shop, and a cafeteria-style room.

Beside that, PSU also provide The Pennsylvania State University Libraries. They were ranked 14th among research libraries in North America in the 2003–2004. The university's library system began with a 1,500-book library in Old Main. Its holdings had grown to 5.2 million volumes, in addition to 500,000 maps, five million microforms, and 180,000 films and videos in 2009. The library also offers electronic catalogs and online databases, in additional to physical volumes stored on site.
PSU manages 864 student organizations in university park campus in 2004. It has the additional organizations such as Thespians, Blue Band, Chabad, Glee Club, Aish HaTorah, Late Night, and 3D Printer Club.
PSU also has a few of student media which provides te student a place to deliver their inspiration. They are :
1.The Daily Collegian, a student run newspaper which is published every weekday while classes are in session. It also has an online edition, known as The Digital Collegian.
2.Onward State, a student-run independent news website covering the Penn State community. It was founded in November 2008 by Davis Shaver, Evan Kalikow, and Eli Glazier.
3.La Vie (the Life), the university's annual student yearbook, since 1890, it has been in production documenting student life continuously. In 1987,La Vie which edited by David Beagin, won a College Gold Crown for Yearbooks award from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association.
4.The student-run radio station is The LION 90.7 F.M (WKPS-FM). It was founded in 1995 The LION broadcasts from the ground floor of the HUB–Robeson Center, serving the Penn State and State College communities with alternative music and talk programming, including live coverage of home Penn State football games.
5.ComRadio that operates by Penn State University of Communications. It was founded in the spring of 2003 as an internet-based audio laboratory and co-curricular training environment for aspiring student broadcasters. In recent years, ComRadio broadcasters have won numerous state awards for their on-air work
6.Phroth is the student-run humor magazine, which publishes two to four issues each year.
7.Kalliope is an undergraduate literary magazine produced by students and sponsored by the university's English Department. Kalliopeincludes works of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and visual art.
8.The student-run life and style magazine is Valley.
